CNPN Hails Jantabo’s Loyalty, Grassroots Mobilisation Efforts

 

The Concerned Niger Progressives Network (CNPN) has hailed Hon. Mu’azu Hamidu Jantabo, Commissioner for Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs, as a dependable pillar in Governor Umaru Mohammed Bago’s development agenda, applauding his loyalty, results-driven leadership, and grassroots impact.

In a statement signed by its Publicity Secretary, Mohammed Yahaya, the group described Jantabo as both a loyal foot soldier and a strategic executor of Governor Bago’s blueprint, delivering tangible results across education, infrastructure, and political mobilization.

**Education Empowerment**
One of Jantabo’s signature interventions is the Jantabo Bursary Scheme, designed to uplift Niger State youths and inspire academic excellence. The initiative has so far supported:

*   1,111 students of Ibrahim Badamasi Babangida University, Lapai (IBBUL), who received direct bursary support.
*   172 students from other institutions nationwide, who also benefited.

The bursary earned wide praise, including commendations from the National Youth Council of Nigeria (NYCN), Lapai Chapter. “Your gesture has brought immense joy and relief… and motivated them to strive for excellence,” the group stated.

**Infrastructure Development**
CNPN noted that Jantabo has been instrumental in delivering key infrastructure projects in Lapai Local Government Area, in line with Governor Bago’s 1,000km state-wide roads expansion initiative. Among the projects are:

*   Completion of the Malle and Graveyard Roads.
*   Ongoing construction of the Bypass Road and Drainage Project to curb flooding and enhance mobility.
*   Rehabilitation of essential public service vehicles, including the Legislative Bus, Sure-P Bus, NHIS Bus, and NISEPA Truck.

“These efforts reflect a governance model rooted in responsiveness, efficiency, and direct community impact,” the statement read.

**Political Engagement**
Beyond physical projects, Jantabo has also deepened grassroots political engagement. His recent consultation tour in Southern Lapai (Azza) re-energized APC supporters and demonstrated his commitment to participatory democracy.

During a community outreach in Bida, Jantabo underscored his loyalty to the governor, declaring: “I am not just a supporter of His Excellency Governor Umaru Bago—I am a soldier of his vision. Every directive he gives is a mission I carry out with pride and purpose.”

**Model of Loyalty and Service**
CNPN described Jantabo’s loyalty, competence, and service delivery as exemplary, urging Nigerlites to rally behind public servants who embody vision and progress.

“Governor Umaru Bago’s administration continues to set new benchmarks in governance, and Hon. Jantabo remains a dependable pillar in this journey,” the group concluded.
