Middle Belt Forum Praises President Tinubu for Appointing Ajularin as NNPCL Boss

ABUJA — The Middle Belt Forum (MBF) has praised President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for appointing Engineer Bayo Ajularin as the new Group Executive Officer of the Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL), describing the move as a commitment to merit, national unity, and inclusivity.

In a statement released on Monday, April 8, 2025, and signed by the Forum’s spokesman, Luka Binniyat, the MBF congratulated Ajularin and extended gratitude to President Tinubu for what it called a “thoughtful and strategic” decision.

“Mr. Ajularin, a distinguished son of Oke Ode in Ifelodun Local Government Area of Kwara State, embodies the values of integrity, dedication, and professional competence that abound in the Middle Belt region,” the statement read.

The Forum highlighted Ajularin’s vast industry knowledge and his strong professional background, stating that his appointment is both a personal achievement and a source of pride for the Middle Belt region.

“This decision reflects Mr. President’s unwavering commitment to excellence and recognition of merit irrespective of geography,” the MBF stated.

The Forum expressed confidence that Ajularin would live up to expectations and contribute meaningfully to the development of Nigeria’s hydrocarbon sector, which remains the nation’s economic mainstay.

The MBF reiterated its support for the President’s efforts to ensure inclusive and competent leadership across national institutions.
