Kaduna, Nigeria – The Christian Media Group (CMG) has called on the National President of the Christian Association of Nigeria (CAN), Archbishop Daniel Okoh, to step in and mediate the ongoing leadership crisis affecting the Christian community in the 19 northern states.

In a statement signed by its Secretary, Andrew Ibrahim Mshelia, the CMG voiced deep concern over the prolonged conflict between Rev. Pam and Rev. Joseph Hayab, both of whom claim rightful leadership. The unresolved dispute has led to confusion, division, and embarrassment within the Christian community.

The CMG urged both parties to set aside their differences and embrace peace, emphasizing that Christianity should exemplify unity, love, and harmony. They cited the biblical teaching in 1 Peter 3:8, which calls for believers to live in unity and mutual respect.

According to the CMG, reconciliation is achievable if all parties commit to dialogue and work together for the greater good. The group urged Archbishop Okoh to use his position to bring the conflicting factions together and facilitate a lasting resolution.

As the CMG awaits Archbishop Okoh’s intervention, they pray for divine wisdom, courage, and strength for all stakeholders involved. They expressed confidence that with God’s guidance, the crisis can be resolved, leading to a stronger and more united Christian body.

In conclusion, the CMG reiterated its call for Archbishop Okoh’s mediation, believing that his leadership will help restore peace and unity within the Christian community.
